Today my wife, grandson and I took a trip to Brushy Mountain Bee Farm I had a few thing I need to pick up so I could work my bees tomorrow.  It was really a great trip and the people that run the place were really friendly.  I felt like a kid in a candy store and Lord help me I had a credit card too.  Oh I could have got in a lot of trouble but I reined myself in and just got what I needed, but I will go back when I have cash.  They even have a bargain barn they say the stuff isn't good enough to send in an order so they sell it at a discount but to tell you the truth I couldn't find much wrong with it .  Anyway it was a really great experience and I can't wait to go back.
The only bad part of the trip was the last 6 miles or so up the mountain, where I know the engineers building the road said follow that snake boys.

The things I bought

I also bought a 24g bottle of fumigilan-B  complete with mixing instruction

Now if it ain't so windy tomorrow I will have a busy fun day putting all of the new items on my hives

Thanks for sharing about your trip, esp the Pictures.    I hope to go there with a BIG list of beeginners stuff in the next month or so... when I get ready to check out I bet everyone will look at my stack and say

If you don't mind, I have a question about your purchases.  In your last picture I see the Bottom Board (squared off for counting Mites) and I assume the Screens go on top of those..??    But what are the plastic Trays used for?

Thanks

You must have beaten me there!  I was there from 1:30-2:00pm and was the only customer there for that period of time.  I had a good conversation with Laurie.

I love going to Brushy Mountain Bee Farm, it is such a treat!  I've taken my boys there on bee day and watched the demonstration, gotten their bee suits and a few little things.  I've never heard of the Bargain Barn, so next time, I'm there!
