Mtnman,
Those look great. Great job, those look like furniture compared to mine, so don't sell yourself short. One quick question? I have been putting a small entrance at the bottom as well as the little 7/8" hole towards the top. I just figured that was needed for ventilation etc. What do you think? I am in an area where we have such dry air that the temp can fluctuate quite a bit between day and nite, so maybe that is why the nucs I have seen around here have a top and bottom entrance. I would be curious to get others imput as well.
Those things look great though!!!

These have screened bottoms which can be closed if need but no colder than it get here in the winter I should be able to leave them open.

And to answer you question about the extra hole in the bottom when in Rome do as the Romans. :-D

I build my queen nucs with a 1/2" entrance hole at the bottom and a 3/4" screened vent hole at the top.  I find it really helps in preventing robbing.  The screened vent hole lures the robbers away from the real entrance.
