Relocating Hives

I've read a number of posts on hive location.  I live in N Texas and it gets hot here in the summer with low humidity.  I picked out a location by some large red cedars.  This spot faces East and is shaded after 3:00 PM.  My question; can I relocate (and should I relocate) without any problems to an area where they will have more exposure to the sun come winter?  Relocating is this situation means moving them about 20-30 feet from their current location.  :?

Mike,

     Its fine to move them. If I were you I would. Should move them in the late evening and place a branch in front of the hive. The next morning they will reorient themselves.
