It was fierce - my normal drive to work is 20 minutes on a trafficky day - on Tuesday I left home at 8 am and got to work at 9:15.  There were so many trees down, blocking roads, lights still out - we didn't have power at the office on Monday (the day the winds actually came through) from 10 - 4:30 and some people still didn't have power on Tuesday night.

The drought has been so hard on the trees that their root systems are weak and a blast of wind like those we had on Monday can tear a poorly rooted tree (some huge ones) right out of the ground.

It was bad, had a tree fall on my grand father's house, in his day room no less while he was reading the paper in his recliner. He had JUST got a new roof after we had that really big hail storm those few weeks back. Waiting for the Ins. Adjuster to take a look before I clear it up.

I blew us around in Cherokee pretty good.
I was waiting for the dreaded call from my Uncle that my plane had been flipped over.
But it weathered the storms fine!
