On May 30th, I found a swarm,  not a real big one, put in a cardboard box.
June 2nd, put bee's  in deep brood box that I borrowed.
June 3rd, ordered two deep brood boxes with plasticell and two med. supers.
June 10th, ordered veil, jacket, gloves, frame holder, smoker, hive tool,
June 11th  began feeding 1 to 1 sugar water (syrup) with a chick waterer.
June 27th, moved bees from borrowed deep to new deep and added another deep.
Put two frames that were drawn with brood into second deep. saw bur comb.
July 2nd,  am seeing new bees flying around hive,  think brood is hatching.

I want to inspect hive this weekend to see how progress is going but think maybe wait another week?   Thistle is almost full bloom and bees seem very busy.  Still feeding 1 to 1 sugar water.
Plan to inspect hives on July 12th,  should I check earlier?

I have read almost every thread on this forum now,  over three hundred pages.  I have learned a lot.  Also learned that everyone has an opinion and they are all different.  Planning on getting material for another hive to start come spring!

check them and see what progress is. I check mine once a week or so. If they've gotten both those deeps filled, maybe you can stop feeding and through on a super for honey!

Naw, we all think the same, we just express it differently.  :-D

Inspecting weekly isn't going to hurt anything, but in this case it would be for the beek's benefit only. The bees will be fine until the 12th.
