Hello all,

My hive cut out at the house went really bad once it was removed and in the box. Mainly hive beetles/ants to blame. I will have all of that video up once I have time to edit. That was one seriously crappy experience.

I went to a school last Thursday and removed a relatively small hive and managed to get it home with the queen. I put all of the comb that was good in the frames and they took right to the yard. They are bringing in pollen and all appears good 4 days later. I have seen a few hive beetles and killed them. I built a stand to keep the ants out. It works perfectly and it also helps keep the bee box on the ground in high winds. (Im in Florida)

So my question is. Can anybody look at the pictures I have taken of each frame this morning and give some advice on where I should go from here. I especially question my frame spacing. When they were real close the bees kinda stuck them together. That's why they are placed so far apart. Good or bad move?

The link to the pictures should work. If you could reply to this post on this forum and not the myspace page that would bee perfect. If the link does not work my signature is a link to the page. Click photos and 2nd hive album.

Separating the frames is a BIG NO-NO. They will make a totally incurable mess. Close the frames up tightly and add enough to fill the box... DO IT QUICKLY!

Your individual frames look good.

Space gone!

Add enough new brood frames to fill the box?

What about top box? Right now it is empty.

Thank you!
