Late bee removal question

I had a question, a lady just came by my house the mail lady told her I was a beekeeper and she has a honey bee problem in her apartment so bad they are coming in her house.  I told her I wasn't doing any more removals this late in the year but she was worried about her health with them getting in her room and all.  I told her that by the end of the month that they would go pretty much dormant.  She said that her apt. manager has called the exterminator out 3 times and no one will show up?  I have their number to get the skinny on that issue.  My question in this long drawn out story is...  I live in Colorado it is suppost to snow in 3 days but its 70 degrees today.  Is there a way to over winter the little girls so they don't die or is it a moot point?

odds of them making it are slim.  a bigger problem is that you are dealing with a renter.  if you are going to do this, i strongly recommend that you track down the manger or owner and get written permission to do the job.

Maybe, after you've followed katyp's sage advice, you could just go and plug up the entry into the house (apartment) and then wait until spring for the cut out?

YES I have the managers #.  I will be dealing with them. ;) I thought that they wouldnt make it but I never thought about just sealing up the entryway to the house.    X:X    Thats why I love this site. Thanks all and keep the advice coming too. :brian:

You could always do the removal for money, keep the honey, render the wax and combine the bees into a weak hive. Everybody then wins except the queen.
