Colour of wax

As an interesting point the colour of wax coming out of 7 of my eight hives is a pale off white. That coming from my eighth hive is a bright yellow. As I do crush and strain the wax is aged the same so the only thing I can put to cause the difference in colour is that different strains of bees may make different coloured wax. Seeing that my bees have come from swarms except for 1 perhaps this may be so

Has anyone experienced different strains of bees making different coloured wax

what they have tracked over it, and the temp at which you render it, can make a difference.

I am aware that temperature for rendering affects the colour however the colour of the comb is as it comes straight from the frames.. when rendered the colour difference is still there. The interesting thing is that all my hives are in the one place in my back yard and I imagine that all bees would be working the same flow.. still puzzled :?

The yellow wax has yellow pollen bits in it.  They were just gathering different pollen than the rest.
