Minimum temperatures for opening your hives

I was just wondering what the minimum temperature you would open your hives at is? Would you open at 20oC (68oF)?

if i waited until it was 68 i'd never open mine.  i'll do a quick look at 45 if it's a sunny day, and a full inspection at 50 if it's sunny and they are flying.

As long as my bees are very active I'll open it. but if its below 50 f just quick peek.

I was told as a guide, at 40 f you can open a hive and take a quick look to see how they are doing.  At 50 f you can take out a frame or two to look at for a short period.  At 60 f  a full hive inspection can be done.   This is assuming that it is not windy.  Just a very simple and easy guide to remember.
