Bees in soffit, been there about 1 and 1/2 months or so. Swarmed day before removal from being honey bound.

Jp, your crazy. I dont think I could ever do a removal without using my suit. When you took down that first piece of comb you could see honey dripping down and you were pulling the comb free. I'm really glad you got your video camera, great videos.

G3farms

Nice removal, I would have to say a hard one with all of the soft new comb.

Did you find the queen or queens??

Another great episode from JPTV   :-D :-D

those hot bees will have you steppin and a fetchin like your heads on fire and your keister is a catchin!!!

Bees will be bees and do as they please!

I did not see a queen on this one but I have two capped queen cells in the set up. It wasn't a pretty removal. Those comb sections, most of them, fell apart in my hands.

Last night the vast majority (99.9%) of the bees were in the deep I left behind atop a ladder. I sealed them up and will be transferring them shortly to one of my bee yards.

I was anticipating a nice, camera friendly removal but it just didn't play out that way.

I hope y'all are enjoying the videos and even getting something of use out of them. I'm having a blast making them!

Here's to the next one!

Wow, nice cutout!

When would you hand pull a comb free instead of cutting with a knife?

Never.

Although it may appear I am simply pulling that comb section, I used my scraper beforehand to detach most of that section from the underside of the sheathing and then gave the comb section a few light tugs.

Very nice video JP. It really looks difficult with such fresh comb and high temperature. The added weight of the honey makes a big difference too I guess.

Thanks for taking the time to share this with us, and keep up the great work! I know I sure do appreciate your efforts.

Thanks JP for yet another informative video. It really looked hot over there as I could see your hair was all wet. Yiks, I would pass out in that heat.

Yes, the added weight of the honey makes all the difference in the world.

Another great video JP. As alway, much appreciated. I like watching the speed (or lack there of) in how you work with the bees. a good lesson, for sure.

Funny Jay! Yes, I move at a snail's pace when dealing with bees most of the time.
