I had a hive swarm yesterday. I was able to catch the swarm and put it in a new hive box. I then moved the new hive to a different location. It seems to be doing fine, as bees are cooming and going from this new hive. There is a cluster of bees about as big as a softball, clinging to the side of the hive. They stayed outside side all of last night and still there today. Althought this cluster has deminished in size since yesterday. Just wondering what is going on, or if anyone else has experienced this? One additional piece of info. This swarm was an after swarm, as this hive had swarmed approximately 5 days ago.

Thank You

JP

You could have more than one queen with the after swarm. Check the box for a queen. If two queens make a nuc with the queen that's on the exterior of the hive.
