Only in Nordern Minnesnowta! ....... This guy raised an abandoned moose calf
with his Horses, and believe it or not, he has trained it for lumber removal
and
Other hauling tasks. Given the 2,000 pounds of robust muscle, and the
Splayed, grippy hooves, he claims it is the best work animal he has. He
Says the secret to keeping the moose around is a sweet salt lick,
Although, during the rut he disappears for a couple of weeks, but always
comes home.... Impressive !!

Nice! I bet he could pull a loaded sleigh backwards with 8 tiny reindeer getting dragged along.
(Clydesdales and Belgians were used for knights too, now imagine an armored man on that beast bearing down on you on a battlefield - that would probably make you feel pretty alone in a hurry.)

Makes me want to make little harnesses for my bees and see what they can do.  I bet they can move a cube of suger several inches!!!

I can think of a lot of jobs on the farm that moose can do.   Plowing, land clearing, dozer work, crowd control, and guard dog, and that's just with the antlers.

We have a couple farms nearby that have Clydesdale's but I haven't seen the moose he must be farther north. I'll let you know if I see him running around town.
