From the picture below, are these capped drones?

OzBuzz

I'd like to know too because a log I collected with a small hive in it has the same capped brood in it!

I'm just a new bee, but it looks like drones to me. Sometimes they are much taller, and sometimes just some taller, like those. I don't know why, but wonder.

Yup drones,   regular brood would be more flat in appearance,  drones almost have a bullet type cap on them.    They should make some queen happy before she kills them!

Thanks Guys, that appears to be what i have in a hive i salvaged from a log a few weeks ago!

I don't know, the picture is a little hard to figure. I believe there are capped drone cells at the top right and bottom right, not certain on some towards the left of the frame.

Is this a foundation-less frame?

JP - Yes, it's foundationless

Here's a larger overview pic

On the other side are capped brood (non-drone) for sure.

JP - been doing any fishing? or the Gulf is still messed up?

JP

Haven't been doing any Gulf nor marsh fishing. My buddy Bailey has been catchin' 'em in fresh water and has invited me but I have been too busy to go.

Are those rock bass?
