Hello fellow beekeepers.

It is time yet again for me to treat my hives with formic acid to get rid of some of the varroa (and the tracheal mites at the same time)  before winter.

I don't have any honey super on the hives and I'm getting ready to start feeding them sugar syrup (they do have a bit of their own honey too but I want to complement it).

The "flash" treatment that I do is 35-40ml of formic acid on paper towel placed underneath the screened bottom late in the evening. The bees seem to take it very well and the next morning there are quite a few murdered varroas on the paper towel. I do about 3-4 treatments at 4 day intervals.

So I'm wondering if I could feed syrup but also treat at the same time the hives ? Any ideas ?

Cheers
