I have received my winter patties from a local bee keeping supplier. My hives are all (13) very light and I want to place the Winter Patties on them as soon as possible.

What is the minimum temperature that I could open the hive and place the patties in. Also where do I place the patties at? Between the 2 Brood Boxes or on Top?????????

Thanks in advance.
I had a dream last night, I was eating a 10 pound marshmallow. I woke up this morning and the pillow was gone.....

What type patties are you talking about?

Are you feeding for light hives which should be sugar of some type or are you feeding pollen patties?

BTW....Increasing brood via pollen patties will just increase the speed that they eat through the rest of their stores.
