Am I right that honey doesn't freeze?

I took several frames of honey out of the hives today in Michigan.  It was about 15 degrees out.  These came out of a hive that had died off, starved with their little heads stuck into the cells in the box below and they never moved up?  Anyway the honey was stiff but not frozen.  Crushed and strained and been eating it all night.  Pretty good stuff.  But I thought the stuff would freeze being out there as cold as it has been, specially with no bees to keep it warm?

It will probably depending on floral variety granulate or sugar pretty rapidly now, but no honey doesn't freeze at normal winter temps.  It is not frozen at 48 below anyway, that is the coldest I ever checked.  Leave some for the replacement pkg or nuc.
