new package

i hived my package on saturday under less than favorable weather conditions and i noticed that pretty much all day sunday there were a bunch of bees bearding around the entrance, not really moving all day long. the weather was alternating between overcast and drizzling all day, but shouldn't they be doing bee stuff ? my other hive had foragers coming and going all day. is this unusual for a new package ?

Give them time. It can take a few days for bee's to get up to speed in there new home.
