swarm tracking

A decent-sized swarm came through my back yard this afternoon. I'm pretty sure it wasn't from my own hives; everything looks normal there. We tracked them across the yard, trying to coax them down; no luck. They headed off into the heavily wooded plot next door, and I lost the trail.

So I know they're out there, and probably quite close. Is there anything I can do, aside from putting out a bait hive, to maximize my chances of catching them?
