When do I add a new super to a new hive?

I installed two packages 2 weeks ago.  Foundationless frames. 10 frame supers.   I opened the hives on day 12 for the second check and both hives have comb on 6 frames with eggs, pollen and uncapped honey.   No capped brood.  No frame with more than 30-40% comb on it.    I was planning on checking them next weekend again.

I don't need to worry about them getting too crowded before that, do I?    No need to check them before next weekend?

If I keep to a weekly check, is there a chance that they'll get too crowded before I put the new super on?  [I think I'm worrying too much.   I'm such a.....mom.]

I was watching them today and boy are they bringing a ton of pollen in.   Much more than just a few days ago- and not because of a new availablilty.   There's been good pollen and nectar for weeks now.    Interesting.

If you do not have SHB, then you can add another.   If you do, then wait a week to check again.

No worries.

Not likely. Weekly checks should enable you to learn a lot and keep on top of things.

I do have deeps for the brood.

Thanks for the help, guys.    I'm thinking I can just calm down a bit about the bees.

Or maybe just in general.

My kids just nodded.

I'm with you there. I told my wife I need to get 5 more hives.

That way I can play with 1 a day.

I know how you feel I have 10 and I thinking and thinking of putting them on a schedule that lets me open 1 every day. :)

I often wonder about what I used to stress, worry, mull, contemplate, second guess, over think, and all out obsess about before I got bees!  I still love every minute of it!!
