I saw your post on everything being connected, and couldn't resist posting this one.
I kinda believe that many of the true martial artists and zen masters merely (through meditation) became exceptional in clearing the clutter of their conscious minds in order to perceive an ambient undercurrent.
At the risk of sounding like a fruitcake - I trained with good success blindfolded and can say that there are people who will always look for explainations such as "you can see through the blindfold" "you heard your 'opponent'" I can honestly say "no" to those and probably any other "logical" explaination for moving precisely on time and trapping a trained opponent who wasn't wearing a blindfold.

I also think the bees are "connected" together in this same way.
