Brand new to beekeeping starting this coming spring. Never read so many books on any one subject as much as I have about Beekeeping. I have listen to countless hours of podcasts, audio books, webcasts and on and on. Watched more videos about bees and beekeeping than I ever watched about anything. The honey bee is a fascinating creature to say the least.

Looking forward to a great new adventure, thanks for allowing me to be apart of this unique group.

Welcome to the site!

The honey bee is a fascinating creature!

Don't be afraid to ask questions. I'm still learning  and I'm in my second year.

Welcome to the forum, your gonna love it!

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Hello and Welcome!

I'm sure you'll find this forum to be a fun and informative site to learn more about bees and beekeepers!

Are involved with a local beekeeping club yet? Clubs are great places to find mentors and get connected to nearby beekeepers:

David Burns is an Illinois beekeeper who has a blog containing nearly 100 online beekeeping lessons. He also sells bees and equipment. He's a good contact to have in your Rolodex:
