Hey everyone, i have a question, i live in Northern part of New Jersey and i'm thinking to start feeding my bees with sugar syrup again, because its coming close to winter time and the supers are still empty...

What should i be doing and not doing??

Be careful not to set off robbing.  Open feeding sometimes contribuites.  Boardman feeders sometimes contribute.  Spilled feed sometimes contribrutes.  To large of an entrance on weak hives contributes.

When there isn't a flow.  Right now I'm expecting a fall flow, but there still seems to be a flow on and off.

I don't plan to feed, but if they get light in the fall I'll feed.

I would check down below and see if they need feeding. You should be having a flow of golden rod soon to help fill that super. I would feed at the end of September to give them winter stores at the earliest. Winter comes early to NJ?  :lol: Just advice from a newbee.....
