It would appear that there are some bees that don't belong coming around my bee hive. Trying to rob and steal. These bad bees are not many and are getting the message. When a bee from a bad neighborhood (any hive that is not mine)comes over, my bees come out in black leather jackets and chains (artistic license). Well for every one bad bee three or four of mine dogpile the bad bee and politley escort it out of the landing area. The bad bee gets a crack upside it's head, it's ego bruised, and recognicition on whose turf this is.

I think I saw my bees with mini spray paint cans marking the side of the beehive.

If you keep pieces of combs and feeding system outside, surely you get visitors to your hive. Colony without queen is weak to defend itself.
It is better to keep on low profile now.

I plan on removing the leftover hive pieces Saturday. I have watched the bees take it most of it and bring the honey and other items into the hive.

The feeder jar will get inserted in the entrance on Saturday also I have to knoch the entrance to hold the jar.

I really expected there to be a mad rush of robber bees. I am surprised there hasn't been. It is just a few straglers. Nothing of any real amount.

Strange plan  :P

You will learn that it is not wise to keep combs near hives entrance many hours.

The hive pieces have been there since Saturday of last week. From when I removed the hive from the boat. They have moved almost everthing back inside the hive. I just figured I would give them a little more time.

I saw a lizard run out of the hive even with the reducer. He better be eating dead bees.

I need to get back into that boat and take a final look.

I think the bees are demanding HDTV feed to the hive so they can watch the  NFL playoffs.

Brendhan
