if their was soda or ice cream flavoring in the food grade 55 gallon barrel will this deter or attract bees should i just wash it out with water and it will be okay or can i use soap and water?

I used a barrel last year that had soda syrup and then waste vegi oil in it. I washed it out after cutting it open with a de-greaser and the bees didn't seem to mind.
