I suppose this happens almost everywhere, but I've come to find it a bit amusing. We (mostly my wife) always holds off planting potted flowers until about this time of year. Then we (mostly) spend the next couple weeks shuffling them in and out of the hail storms that frequent this same time of year. I always have temporary screens, and raincoat at the ready.

This week was no exception. The flowers went in Monday/Tuesday and then we had 2 hail storms in 3 days. Today it cycled between rain, deluge and hail, about five times, in a bit over an hour. Nothing much bigger than pea-sized hail. Probably a good 1/2-1" of rain - torrential at times.

I'm not looking for solutions, just laughing (again) at our annual "Planting of the hail magnets".

The hail magnets are doing great, and appear to be working again  .

Similar here.  As soon as I think it's warm and dry enough to plant beans and dahlias, we get a solid week of cold rain and everything rots :(

Start on a house foundation and you get the same results!

Happens that way here, too.  My husband puts the plastic on his pumpkin cloche and.....windstorm!
