I had left three stickies out on a tray to drain on the bench and the ants found them. She in doors hit the bench with surface spray and knocked off the ants. - " I knew enough not to spray the frames " she said but there would have been some drift. I rinced the frames with luke warm water to get rid of the few live ants and washed off the remaining honey.

What should I do now?  Throw them out, cut out the foundation and fit new after scrubbing the wood or just reuse without bothering?

the safe thing would be cutting it out.  i think that's what i'd do....

The people the people are the rightful masters of both congresses and courts not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it.

I would agree with Kathyp. Surface spray has some residual poison and it is not worth the risk.

had a real insecticide problem down here. 3 inches deep dead bees. what an odor!

they told me to put them in a pool.

did not have a pool so used a beer cooler (ice chest)

two or three days in water dilutes everything.

down yonder not down under

Pool idea is good - the chlorine would oxidise the chemicals in the spray and render it harmless - I'll try some chlorine bleach in the laundry trough instead  8-)

straight chlorine  will rust the nails in the frames badly! by next year one would need to re-nail

just drop them in the pool or any where they could be submerged for two days. dry them out they'll be good to go
