New member from nw Georgia. I started keeping bees again last year, I received 2 hives from grandfather back in the late 70's when he could no longer keep them. I had to get out of beekeeping when I joined the Army back in 82, back then I did not have to deal with varroa or shb. Beekeeping has changed quite a bit and I still have a lot to learn. I have 3 hives and am enjoying them very much. I have been reading as a guest for about a year now, so way overdue to join. :)

Welcome to the forum. My father in law did about the same. Had 20 hives for about 20 years, out of it for about 12 years. Got back into it last year and is having a hard time keeping them alive now.
