Well I was checking my hives Friday night and I found that one of my hives was getting full on one of the supers so I decided to remove it.it was 3/4 filled. Then I looked at the top deep and found it honey bound. I removed it also. Got a total weight of 110 lds.. They never moved the honey up into the supers when the flow started this year. So don't forget to look in the boxes below the supers when you remove them. I'm the lazy beekeeper and put 3 supers on at the start of the season then pull and extract as they are filled.

How much have you removed in your first extraction of the season and how much from one hive in one extraction?

haven't pulled yet but it looks like 3 mediums out of a few and the top deeps may be full too.  several heavy hives right now.

Pulled 7gal off of two hives. The other 6 in the same yard don't have anything ready yet but they are close. Moisture content is 17.8%. Nice and thick.

yeah, it's nice to see capped honey this year.  i had supers full this time last year that didn't get capped for another month.

11 gallons this year so far. I'm hoping to get in on some crop pollination in a few weeks so hopefully another crop in the middle of June then I got wildflower in the fall.
