came home from town today and found the 8x16 carport tent i had my car parked in front of-  um parked in front of my car! um upsidedown!!

guess we had some wind today

in the mean time while i'm trying to get it at least out of the way i hear rustling in the brush and look around to find a less than friendly moose in the brush just off of my driveway guess its time for a beer and see what can be salvaged in the morning :-\

That's why yall carry them big pistols on your hip. I enjoy watching "Life below zero" and "Alaska State Troopers". It's certainly a different world up there. Winter's too long tho. ...and too cold.

Had to be quite a wind to blow a moose into your yard!  I live in windy country and anchoring those tents seems nigh on to impossible to me.  Did it pull stakes or what?

If moose are half as destructive as white tailed deer; you can keep them!

We've had such crazy weather here for the past 6 months, it's been an adventure here too...a bad one.

actually I've had the frame up for 2 winters but just finally got the top and sides for it so i didn't have it anchored down,  will drive some kind of stakes or dead man pins before i put the sides back up.  we got wild fires in 2 locations west of me now, my place is in no danger but the smoke is blowing right into the valley here and wrecking havoc with my solar power.

Fires aren't something we have to worry about in Michigan; at least not the lower peninsula.  Water water everywhere.

How do the bees react to constant smoke from forest fires out west?

1frozenhillbilly

you know I'm not sure how the bees react but i usually have a few honey bees in the yard during the day and haven't noticed any since monday, of course i haven't been here much.

good thing it wasn't the moose that took down your car tent.  but having a beer with a nice moose steak makes for a really nice day

boy now that sounds real good right about now but season not open for a few more months however if a black bear was to come in my yard he would be extended an invitation to dinner in a heartbeat!
