I noticed one of my mating nucs bearding, Sunday. It has been cool at night and now it is thunderstorming. They are still out. I inspected Sunday and did not see a queen. The cell was emerged from. I figured she was out on flight, in the center of that cluster or dead and they were out waiting for her.

Has anybody had this happen to them?

Sounds like a nice strong mating nuc.

It is a decent size. Two frames of brood and nurse bees when i made it, but all the brood has emerged. They were mediums too. I scooped them and dumped them back in. The rest started crawling in.
