G'day,

Recently bought a frame wiring jig as I was hand wiring all my frames and the wires were loose (and it was  ahuge pain). It's the standard wire jig with a stopper to apply pressure to bow the frame and three wheels for the wires to run around.

It's a lot easier than hand wiring but I am still having trouble getting adequate tension on the top wire.. it's OK to tension up when I'm using the spool of wire to apply the tension, but when I take some wire to wrap around the nail it slackens off and I always end up with a slacker top wire.

Any tips?

I made a jig and it works well. Busy right now but I would like to see a pic of your jig.

Wow that is slicker than mine .

I just use a pipe clamp to squeeze the frame slightly and then pull the wire through.
