I got froze out during winter. I had pollen patties I put in during winter.  I purchased package bees to replace.  I added sugar syrup also to them.  Is it a bad thing to do,or do I take one of them out.

This is only my second year so take it for what it's worth, but last year I put both in and it worked out fine. It wasn't till it got damp this spring that I had a problem.

Pollen patties are not a bad thing.  Just beware that SHB like them very much and when it is warm they are around.

No idea where you are Stung so my answer is No, maybe yes or Yes, maybe no.  Updating your profile helps.

One little clarification. Are you talking about reusing old pollen patties or simply feeding syrup and pollen patties at the same time?  I wouldn't reuse pollen patties. They dry out and bees don't take them. Also it is fine to feed syrup and pollen patties at the same time.
Keeping bees since 2011.

Also please excuse the typos.  My iPad autocorrect can be brutal.
