I'm located in NW Florida in the Panama City area and started with my first hive six months ago.  The 2nd hive was added a month later and I've built a two top bars that are ready to go but at this point I'll wait until next spring to populate them.   I've wanted bees for several years now and after watching a demo by a local beekeeper back in the spring I decided it was time to stop thinking about it and start acting. Since I'm retired I had to much free time on my hands anyway.  It's been a lot of fun since then and quite a learning opportunity.
