Mailing honey to other countries

I want to mail a jar of honey to a colleague in Slovakia.
Are there international regulations/restrictions on this?
Can anyone direct me to where I would look to investigate this (post office, etc) ?

I would say your post office is the best bet but you have to find someone high enough up the ladder who know what they are talking about otherwise you are just going to get a memorized verse.
Another option might be to seek out an e-bayer and pick their brain.  The shut down might be a kink.
