Organic Honey

Last I heard the USDA has no organic standard for honey.  The honey you see labeled as such is a result of the NAFTA and is from Brazil.  We have to acknowledge it as organic because they say so...

My research has concluded the same thing -- the FDA seems to have no hard and fast rules.

Here is a link where the organic standard can be found. I think plastic frames are permitted, but not plastic foundation.

It's the USDA who would have the say so and they have no rules at all.  There has been a draft of a standard for a few decades now, but no approval of the standard that I've heard.
