Burr comb

Last year I introduced some new foundation that I picked up online at a good price.  It was a false economy because the bees didn't seem to like it.  They continually drew funky burr comb.  Is there a proven means of rejuvenating or making the foundation more enticing?  Thanks.

Wax them. I had some bees didn?t like I mad starter strips out of them and met them draw out
