Hi Cheomar,

Welcome to Beemaster. I saw you on the other forum. Good for you.

Thank you for the suggestions as well as the link.

We all read hungrily during our slow seasons. Forums, generally, are an excellent source for information, for beekeeping and sometimes otherwise.

One of the best regional beekeepers (remember: all beekeeping is LOCAL) started in 2014, and he never took a class. He read, and more importantly, he worked at larger apiaries and gained tremendous experience on all aspects of beekeeping, grafting, queen rearing, problem solving, and problem anticipating. He has become a tremendous mentor for our region, but he's old,... and becoming a curmudgeon. I say this all in good humor. "Mentors" by their nature, see newbbes, time after time, all with the same or similar issues.

We all wish that newbees (and some oldbees) would read more, would explore more, would plan more. Build on the experience of others. Help others. That's the best way to learn. Watch what the successful people do, and then DO IT! Conversely, and maybe more importantly, watch what the unsuccessful people do, and then, don't do it. I've become a curmudgeon too.

Thanks again Cheomar.

Mods, this should be moved to the beekeeping section, don't you think?  Many people will not see it down here in the Coffee House.  I didn't.
I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.
