Propolis Traps: Is There A Variety of Designs Available?

Yesterday, I watched a video put out by Bob Binnie 'showing and telling' of his new experiences with propolis traps. Mr Binnie explained that this was his 'first' time using propolis traps. It seemed he had trouble getting a percentage of propolis free from the trap even after freezing. The traps that he invested in are completely flat on one side, yet the opening on the opposite side are sort of trough shaped, as he explained it. He found a percentage of the propolis, just would not turn loose. I am thinking the design that he chose 'might' be the problem? Are their other designs that you have used that work better? He bought 'green colored traps' from Man Lake if it makes a difference.....

I am assuming I have the same trap. I got these from a company quite a few years ago that bought the propolis but has since started acquiring it from china and south America.
The trick is not to let them get to full. about 3/4 full freeze, put in plastic bag, hit against table, game over.
Too full and they wont cut loose.. Just my opinion but I think it has something to do with expansion when frozen.
