Well first I will say sorry to my northern friends
Went in to see the girls, they have started to build brood, wanted to make sure they had enough honey stores to make it and they did, and for a bonus have drones a little earlier in my hives
Looking, like a good start. I did lose one hive but queen failed in late November and started laying drones was gonna combine them but couldn?t find her to cull her. She was quick

Haa Has rub it in lol. 27F as we speak and just narrowly escaped an ice storm. Actually have a tree down and limbs everywhere but I am thinking the worse has passed.

Congratulations on your early progress! You are off to a good start! With this early start you will be able to absorb the losses. 👍🏻

27 degrees!!!!!! That?s cool. How much do you spend buying thermal underwear for each individual bee? We had a really cold day here as well. Only got to 23 but we had a different letter after the number. Phillip, when do your bees venture out from their ice cage and start building up?
