Ohio honey flows ?

Anyone know when the honey flows are in northeast Ohio ? I've read post of others feeding in between flows, wondering if & when I should feed. The bees seem to be still foraging, at least they are coming and going somewhere ...

   I do not live in ohio but i am going thru the same thing here in southern virgina. My bees are doing the same i know that my next door neighbor has several acres of soybeans planted and i sat and watched my girls this morning and they are heading in that direction of his bean field. SO i am guessing that might be coming into bloom but i did sat out a pie pan feeder to feed up some left over syrup and my two small hives has gone crazy feeding from it so i know they need feeding and my big hive is not even going to the feed pan but they are bringing in bright red orange pollen from some where so that is a good sign that they are raising brood.

I can't tell you exactly what your flows are, a lot depends on rainfall.  If it is really dry in August then probably you have a dearth, if not, then they are still getting something.  It will start up again when you see the goldenrod blooming if you've gotten sufficient rainfall.

As far as feeding between flows...ONLY do this if this is a small hive with 2brood  hive bodies or less.  Don't feed if you have honey supers on because they will store the sugar up there.
