COLVIN

After 2 months of trying to find the right time to treat for varroa during the winter months we still haven't had any cold days (50 or lower to treat) When we have it's been raining.. I finally got in to the hives and the Queens are laying good so I did not treat yet with oxalic acid. What do i do now,  just wait and do drone traping come spring or what?

Nice winter this season.

1) If you have much mites so it is better to take brood frames away if they are not many and teh  oxalic trickling

2) Wait for summer and make a false swarm and make that Duch catching

3) If mites are not plenty, wait for late summer and make thymol treatment (Mite-away)

4) Give in spring formic acid or Mite-Away treatment http://www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/crops/facts/disease_2006.htm#4
