Once again the education system has failed our children and as adults the intelligence gap is even more pronounced.

I am watching this train wreck of a TV show:

A show that personifies the overt materilistic values of society. Diamonds are more important than brains.

In this recent episode the adult mother (over 40) asks the son's girlfriend, who is canadian, "Do you speak Canadian?"

Now I understand that Quebec has made it's main language French. However I don't recall the french language being refered to as speaking canadian. The girlfriend is from Ontario.

I want to aplogize for the programing on TV in the US, the ignorance of it's citizens, and the failure of the education system. Please don't hold it against us when our students refer to Canada as the 51st state.

Sincerely,
Brendhan

the Canadians probably don't mind.  an awful lot of our production companies are doing shows in Canada.  they don't care if we are stupid as long as we are willing to spend our money up there!!
