Reuse the comb?

I'm going to bring a hive body (complete, bottom, inner, telescoping top, 10 frames) to one of our bee club members who will put a swarm in it to replace the package we lost.

I cleaned out the hive today and disposed of all the poor little girls.  Many of them were in the comb head first - they wouldn't go up to the hivetop feeder (only one out of four, the other three are doing just fine with it) and died eating the frames of honey I'd put in there for them.

Anyhoo, that comb is kinda groady looking.  And I was surprised to find it's on plastic foundation.  These were honey supers we bought from a guy who moved.  When we got them early last year they looked nice and clean, we used them for brood chambers and they're pretty dark now.  Also, there's all that dead bee stuff left in them.  I know it's been said to reuse old comb, but.....since two hives have died in it, do you think I should just start fresh?  I've got frames and foundation, it's not a problem, I just hate to toss comb if you all think it's still safe to use.

if they starved to death this is what i'd do.
put the swarm on starter strips or any other foundation, and later, maybe next year, use that comb for supers.
swarms are honeycomb building machines, USE this advantage!, why put swarm that is EAGER to build fresh comb on already built comb?!?!
