Well today was the first day I could actually get up to visit the brood super to check if my new queens are laying.
My old hive that swarmed last month, apparently did not get a queen reared. I found lots of eaten wax combs right down to the plastic frames
I did not see any drone brood. Not one single egg or larvae. Just tons of baby bees. I did see queen cups and cannot tell if they are the old queen cells from last month or if they are trying to make new queen cups. They look sort of old.
Tomorrow I am going to pick up another queen and introduce her. What chance do you think I will have with the new queen being introduced, and do you have any special techniques to make sure they accept her??

Help me please as quickly as possible. I will have the new queen by 11:00AM tomorrow morning.

Thank you
Annette

Well ok The first thing to do is RELAX. After you get your Queen or before take the time to inspect your hive and make sure there is no Queen. Then if there is no Queen look in the Queen cells see if they have anything in them Queen Larvae. If they have Queen Larvae in them or if they don't remove the Queen cells then Introduce the Queen. Good luck

Just a normal introduction and as Kirko says, make darn sure there is no queen in there. Even a virgin running around will have the hive loyalty and cause them to kill your new high dollar queen.  Watch how they treat the queen in the cage.  If they are biting at the cage, trying to sting her, there is probably someone else in the house.  Especially if they are still behaving this way after 3 or 4 days.  If they are trying to feed her, touch her, then you are peobably good to go.
