There is a colony of bees in the wall of an abandoned home close to me.  I would like to get them hived up soon.  I have never done this before and I would appreciate some advice on methods I may use to remove them. I took the siding down and took a look. There are 11 combs and tons of bees.  They are gentle and did not bother me at all.  I put the siding back up until I get some advice from you guys. Please be descriptive, I am new to removal.

                                                  Thanks

I would recommend building yourself a bee vac.   Once I built mine, I couldn't image doing removals without it.  I would start by exposing all the comb and sucking off as many of the bees as you can.  Then gently cut one piece of comb off at a time,  take a quick look for the queen and then vac the bees off.  If it is straight comb and there is brood in it, cut it to fit into an empty frame and put rubber bands around the frame to hold the comb in.   The bees will attach the comb to the frames and chew off the rubber bands.  If it is honey comb, don't try to put it in the frames or you will have a sticky mess and a lot of dead bees.  Instead, crsuh and strain it when you get back home and feed the honey back to them in a hive top feeder if you want.

Just take your time and try to limit the amount of honey leakage otherwise you'll end up with dead bees.

Good luck, have fun, and take pictures.

Try a search there have been MANY discussions.  Take everything you think you could possibly need and you won't have something.  Work until you can't get anything more done and go get the stuff you didn't bring.  :)
