Ya, why so many bees gathered at the entrance?  Are they that overcrowded, or don't they have enough ventilation inside?    I never get gatherings like that on mine.

There is a long tube to the hive and these were taken when the population exploded in the hive.
Robbing some of the brood frames could easily prevent this.Things are more normal now!

Hi Ken,
How do the unpainted supers hold up? I have some cypress supers I need to assemble and was considering not painting them.
A swarm in May is worth a bale of hay.
A swarm in June is worth a silver spoon.
A swarm in July isn't worth a fly.
