So I'm standing out in the 90F heat with my jacket on, veil, and gloves, sweating like a pig feeling like I'm going to pass out, blowing some stragglers off out of the supers with my shop vac, when it occured to me that I was holding a small, very strong fan!  Stuck the hose in my jacket...Ahhhh!!! It also gets the jacket away from the skin so bees can't sting through the fabric!

Are there any bee suits that integrate this little gadget?

Ok, so maybe the brazilian beesuit or the golden beesuit is still better (and I'm still too cheap to get one), but I can dream, right?

This vest might help but will probably set you back a pretty penny.

I've been think about running a fan out to my hives as sweat seams to attract my bees to my face.

Here is the site if you would like to purchase, only $159.00. A little pricey I would think. Before putting out the dollars I would like to actually try one or at least see it in operation. Can't afford the shirt let alone fly to Japan to look at it.

A golden bee products suit is the nearest thing...

I've always wanted a bee suit like John Glen's.  Ahh temp control.

We, at the Fire Dept have vests we use in our Haz-Mat suits that hold blue ice cold packs.  I have thot of asking my wife to make me a jacket that would hold some of these reusable cold packs for me to use when working the girls on the really hot days.  I'm sure tho that her quilts will have a higher priority than my bees.

There are some suits that are used in spraying herbicides that have fans in the hoods.

Now that's what I'm talking about.  I'm a "head sweater"  lol

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Well that looks like it would work like a dandy in the bee yard.  I think my PC would get heavy on my back after a while though.

Mkangelo,

Head sweater, why is that so funny to me?  I like the idea of sewing a pocket for a blue ice pack on the back of my suit.  I'm a back sweater for sure. lol.
