ACBS, i'm not accusing anyone of missleading anyone. just wanted help.

TWT, i did have a hive that was queenright and had queen cells all year long, but none of those queens hatched. so the "myth" or whatever it is, just might be true-at least to me.
myth: bees keep making queen cells and killing them just before they hatch.
i don't know...

Just an FYI.  Russian bees ARE European bees both genetically and geographically.

They are a strain of Carniolans.

I see I can buy a 5 frame Nuc of Russian bees from either of the websites you gave me. Would that be the same as a 3lb package? What would be the advantage of buying the 5 frame NUC VS the 3lb package. I really like the goldline queen that you showed me. What bees should I get to put her with? I guess I sould ask everyone this. If I get three hives up in running should I just do one different species per hive? Maybe one hive all russian, one hive russian with a goldline queen, and maybe a hive of carniolans. I respect everyones opinions and need them. I only have an older guy near me that has only been doing this for 2 years. He likes the Italians and is going to be requeening them all next year. Due to neither of us have a lot of experience I need all the help I can get. It would be nice if I could take a vacation and go work for an experienced bee keeper for a couple of weeks. Thanks in advance for any information.
