Hello from Tennessee

I'm a new beekeeper (second year).  I started out with two hives last year and have four hives now. I am planning for four more next spring.  I have reached the age where if there is something I always wanted to do, I should get with it!  I originally got the bees to pollinate my garden and orchard.  However I have had to learn about honey to handle all the excess from the hives.  This year I have manage to sell all my girls could produce. 
The more I learn, the more I realise I don't know.  But this is the most fun I have had in years...

Welcome, it is my second year also.   I am a pure hobbyist, but as I get closer to retirement I might start looking at trying to pull in a little cash.

I live on the Cumberland Plateau, halfway between Nashville and Knoxville.  Marketing honey is not what I had in mind when I started this hobby; but it has been an enjoyable sideline.  Thanks for all the welcomes!

Yes, I live near Crossville.  But I live 45 minutes from Fairfield.  I'm in the south end of the county. (The Sticks!)
