Good morning all !     It is -30 Celsius here this morning .  When I checked my hives , All of the top vents were frosted over .  I cleared the frost off ,  Hope my sweetie bugs haven't suffocated .  It was so cold here this morning , I saw a lawyer with his hands in his own pockets .  I also saw a rabbit trying to push start another rabbit .  At least that's what I THOUGHT  he was doing.

                                         Just chilling   ---Burl---

Burl, I think that your bees will be fine, that is good you cleared the vent though.
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service

You  need not clear upper entrances. In my hives upper entrances are too closed with ice crystals but I have never cleared them. They are under the cover and they are akive every spring.

Clearing make more disturbance than something usefull.

So...?  Did the other one get started???? 8-)
Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)
